According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Serie A outfit Napoli are closing in on the signing of Los Blancos centre-back Rafa Marin.

The 22-year-old defender spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Deportivo Alaves in LALIGA, making an impressive 35 appearances across all competitions.

Marin, a former Spain youth international, is reportedly set to join the Italian club in a transfer worth around €10 million (R193 million).

Real have reportedly included a buyback clause in their agreement with Napoli, who followed their famous league title triumph in 2022/23 with a lowly-10th place finish on the Serie A table this past term.

New manager Antonio Conte is believed to have requested the signing of Marin, a defender who can be used in several positions across the backline.
