Who Has Contributed To The Most Goals In 2018 So Far?

With 2019 around the corner, here are the 10 stars across Europe's top five leagues who have contributed to the most goals this year so far. One African superstar makes the list, but where do Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo rank?

It has been another enthralling year of football at the highest level in Europe, but there are still a few weeks left for players to leave their mark on 2018.

With regards to goal contributions, FC Barcelona superstar Messi leads the way for the calendar year so far, having played a hand in 63 strikes across all competitions for the Catalan club.

The Argentine has scored 43 goals and assisted a further 20 strikes for the Blaugrana so far this year, and is ahead of second-placed Luis Suarez by eight goals.

His teammate has found the back of the net on 31 occasions in 2018, while he has also set up 24 strikes for his colleagues.

Former Real Madrid and current Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo is third on the list with 53 goal contributions this year, while Liverpool's Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah is in at fourth.

Tied with the African is Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann, who has been excellent for Los Rojiblancos all year.
