Reports suggest that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner could extend his deal in the Middle East, despite the side's failure to win the league title this season.

Ronaldo penned a two-and-a-half-year deal at Al Nassr when he joined the club in January last year following his departure from Manchester United.

According to talkSPORT, the Portugal captain is expected to renew his stay at the side for another 12 months, which would see his contract only expire in 2026.

It is said club officials are eager to tie Ronaldo down to a further year after witnessing the impact his presence at Al Nassr and in the Saudi Pro League has had.

The 39-year-old has helped boost the profile of the Knights of Najd and football in the region, although he now has to wait until next season for a chance at league success.
