Los Blancos' all-time record scorer has reportedly made up his mind about leaving Santiago Bernabeu, according to reports in Marca and AS.
The latest meeting between his agent Jorge Mendes and club president Florentino Perez, as well as his right-hand man Jose Angel Sanchez took place on Wednesday.
It is suggested that going into Wednesday's meeting there was a chance of Ronaldo changing his mind and opting to stay with Real, had the club representatives offered him an increased salary on his current €21 million (R336 million) per year.
However, Marca suggest Angel asked Ronaldo's entourage to present an offer worth €100 million (R1.6 billion) – the new release clause for the 33-year-old, which both side agreed on in January.
Juventus are prepared to pay this amount and are now stepping up their efforts to get the deal over the line. After Wednesday's meeting closed all doors on Ronaldo to stay with the Spanish giants, Juventus could clinch the deal in the coming hours, report Sport Mediaset.
Everything could now happen very quickly, with the Serie A champions keen to present Ronaldo as Juve player as early as Saturday. Juve general manager Guiseppe Marotta and sporting director Fabio Paratici are understood to be in Madrid to wrap up the deal as soon as possible.
