In a recent interview with Italian publication Calciomercato, former Blaugrana star Hristo Stoichkov voiced his opposition towards the club's reported intention to re-sign Neymar.
"Barcelona does not need Neymar," Stoichkov said.
"He has no place because there are already important players. There are (Ousmane) Dembele, (Antoine) Griezmann, (Luis) Suarez and (Lionel) Messi. Where is he going to play?
"He would be a bomb inside the locker room."
The 1994 Ballon d'Or winner believes that, while a number of Barca's senior players wish to see Neymar return, the club would not finance a deal for the 27-year-old.

"For my part, I don't want him to come back," he added.
"Surely there is a group of players who want him to return and ask the president to make an effort, but Barcelona will not move a single euro to return. They will not pay up to PSG."
A possible swap deal has been mooted, but Stoichkov feels such talk is disrespectful to the players who have reportedly been offered as makeweights by Barcelona.
"Players offered to PSG? It is disrespectful. For example, (Ivan) Rakitic is a great worker, a very humble boy who has never let his guard down and has always defended the interests of Barcelona," Stoichkov continued.
"(Philippe) Coutinho? He cost a lot of money but has a lot of football in him and I defend him. Hopefully, no Barcelona player leaves."
