Gerrard was speaking to former Reds teammate Jamie Carragher on The Greatest Game Podcast when he revealed his ideal side, which includes Juve 'keeper Gianluigi Buffon, former AC Milan defender Paolo Maldini, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo was a notable absentee from the England centurion's selection, and he took time to explain why he had decided to include long-time rival Messi ahead of the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star.
