A former FC Barcelona star has claimed that Ronaldinho and another teammate once rocked up to a training session drunk, actions the club worried was going to affect superstar Lionel Messi.

It is well known that, after Messi broke into Barca's senior team, Ronaldinho took him under his wing at the Catalan giants.
In the latter stages of his career with the Blaugrana, the Brazilian was accused of being a disruptive influence, leading to new manager Pep Guardiola selling him and former Portugal international Deco, who was accused of the same, in 2008.

Aleksandr Hleb, who was one of Guardiola's first signings for Barca, believes their unprofessionalism was what let to their exits, especially as the club was afraid Messi would be influenced.
"Ronaldinho and Deco came to training drunk," he told V OKA TV.
"That's why Ronaldinho and Deco were sold in 2008. Because they (Barca) were afraid that they would bring down Lionel Messi."

While Ronaldinho joined AC Milan, Deco was sold to Chelsea in England.
