According to Diario Gol, the Brazilian, who has previously stated that it would be great to see Ronaldo playing for Barcelona, sent the Portugal captain a message of support amid the recent tax fraud storm.
Neymar has also been chased by Spanish authorities over irregularities surrounding his move to the Camp Nou club, and knows how Ronaldo is feeling.
The message reportedly expressed the Brazilian's support, despite him playing for Ronaldo's rival club.
This is not the first time the two superstars have apparently exchange message – Ronaldo reportedly sent Neymar a message after the Catalan giants lifted the La Liga trophy in 2016.
The Portuguese reportedly committed tax fraud worth €14.8 million (R206 million) between 2011 and 2014, using business structures to hide income from image rights in Spain, and will have to appear in court on 31 July.
