Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has jokingly been urged to do his "Siuuu" celebration less often.
Why Arsenal Star Refused Armband Revealed?
According to Peter Crouch, the Portugal international needs to conceptualise another celebration he can use, and reserve his iconic jump, spin and cry of "Siuuu!" for special occasions.
The genesis of the celebration came when he was a Real Madrid player at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2014 and, since then, it has become something of a trademark for the UEFA Champions League's record goalscorer as the crowd join him in unison every time he does the celebration.
However, Crouch has now jokingly stated that he overuses it. Writing in a column for the Daily Mail, the former England international said: "I think this needs saying as a public service announcement: The key to a good celebration is not doing it too often.
"You don't want anybody turning round saying: 'Oh, here he goes again.'
"I only did the robot three times on a pitch (more at weddings, obviously!) – in England friendlies against Hungary and Jamaica and, with Stoke [City], when I scored my 100th Premier League goal.
"You have to save them. Leave the punters wanting more. Think on, Cristiano."
It seems Ronaldo was ahead of the ex-Liverpool man, though. The striker ended his six-game goal drought against Brighton Hove Albion last week, but opted against using his famous celebration as he slid on his knees when he netted in Old Trafford's Stretford End.
