Manchester United's Paul Pogba and FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi are among the superstars included football's most valuable XI, but Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo did not make the cut.

KPMG's football statistics division, called Football Benchmark, recently updated its player valuation tool and published the most valuable XI in football.
The team includes four FC Barcelona men, two Paris Saint-Germain stars, and one player each from United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
In goal, Blaugrana shot-stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who was also voted into the official 2018 UEFA Team of the Year, was selected. The German's was estimated to be €89 million (R1.39 billion) by the Football Benchmark team.
The back four is made up of his teammates Jordi Alba, valued at €50 million (R782 million), and Samuel Umtiti, with €73 million (R1.14 billion), alongside Raphael Varane, the highest-valued defender at €81 million (R1.27 billion), and Joshua Kimmich, who is estimated to be worth €67 million (R1.05 billion).
N'Golo Kante (€85 million (R1.33 billion)), Kevin De Bruyne (€129 million (R2.02 billion)) and Pogba (€119 million (R1.86 billion)) were included in midfield.
Up front, Messi, who is valued at €203 million (R3.17 billion) by the Football Benchmark team, is joined by PSG duo Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, the two most valuable players in the team. Mbappe is rated at €215 million (R3.36 billion) and Neymar at €229 million (R3.58 billion).
Ronaldo, meanwhile, was valued at €107 million (R1.67 billion) – less than half of the values ascribed to Mbappe and Neymar.
