One of Edinson Cavani's former teammates has slammed Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar for his recent behaviour, saying the Brazilian would never have treated Lionel Messi so poorly.
Neymar Cavani In Heated Penalty Row
Neymar has come under fire in recent times for his actions in PSG's Ligue 1 match against Lyon on Sunday, when he seemingly argued with Cavani over who would be taking set-pieces.
Reports following the game claimed the Brazilian's spat with Cavani continued long after the final whistle was blown, but Diego Forlan feels Neymar would never have acted the way he did with his former teammate Messi.
"Cavani deserves respect," he told Radio Sport 890.
"He has been scoring goals for years and taking penalties, there has to be respect.
"Neymar would not have done that to Messi. He did not want Cavani to take the penalty.
"He was like a little boy annoying him."
