Messi's Boateng Humiliation Goal Of The Season
On top of winning the UEFA Best Player in Europe award, Lionel Messi also claimed the goal of the year accolade. The Barcelona superstar received 39% of the votes for his fantastic individual effort that saw him outwit Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng in the Champions League semi-finals last season to win Goal of the Season. Meanwhile, his teammate Marc-Andre Ter Stegen won the Save of the Season award for denying Bayern's Robert Lewandowski from point blank range on 12 May 2015. In women's football, former Malmo star Celia Sasic won the UEFA Best Women's Player in Europe award.
