Controversial striker Mario Balotelli has strangely claimed that Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will never be his friend despite heaping praise on the Portuguese forward.

Italy striker Balotelli, who now plays his football for Marseille in Ligue 1, was also blown away by the Portuguese superstar's individual display, and took to social media to praise the 34-year-old after first making a strange admission about his relationship with the former Real Madrid man.
"He will not be my friend, but he has proven himself once again to be an absolute champion," he wrote in an Instagram Story, according to Calciomercato.
