The Uruguayan, who joined the Catalan club at the beginning of this season, but sat out until October due to a ban after an incident at the 2014 World Cup, has scored his first brace in a Barcelona shirt.
The Spanish giants looked dominant in the first-half of the first-leg, with Suarez showing signs of the form he enjoyed at former club Liverpool as he tucked away two clinical finishes before the break.
The 28-year-old's form has picked up in recent matches, with the forward scoring four goals and assisting two in the last few weeks.
Another interesting statistic for Suarez is that he has scored five times from six shots against Joe Hart, including his brace against England for Uruguay.
Suarez has scored four Champions League goals for Barcelona in as many appearances, and has scored nine goals from 23 games in all competitions, while he has assisted 12 for his teammates.
