With Paris Saint-Germain annoyed that an injured Lionel Messi was called up for duty with Argentina, a decision seems to have been made on the six-time Ballon d'Or winner.

The French club's sporting director Leonardo has voiced his annoyance that the 34-year-old was allowed to meet up with his national team after missing PSG's latest two fixtures.

Messi has been struggling with a knee injury that has left him unavailable for Mauricio Pochettino, but has travelled to his homeland ahead of Argentina's upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

According to RMC Sport, the ex-Barcelona captain has completed training with his international teammates and is expected to play against Uruguay this weekend.

This could lead to more frustration for PSG and, in particular, Leonardo, who believes it is "not logical" for a player who is not fully fit to leave his club for international duty.
