The Brazilian superstar is the second-highest-paid player worldwide, behind only Lionel Messi, and is the top earner in Ligue 1 with a monthly income of €3.06 million (R50 million), as French publication L'Equipe revealed in their annual salaries overview.
However, he is not the only Paris Saint-Germain star among the highest-paid stars in France, with an incredible 13 of the 15 top earners coming from the PSG squad.

Mbappe is in second place with a monthly salary of €1.91 million (R31 million), before Thiago Silva completes the podium with monthly earnings of €1.50 million (R24.6 million).
Wantaway striker Edinson Cavani failed to leave the Parc des Princes in the January transfer window, but his last six months in Paris will be sweetened by a monthly income of €1.35 million (R22.2 million).
Wissam Ben Yedder and Cesc Fabregas, who both play for AS Monaco, are the only non-PSG players among Ligue 1's top earners, with the former receiving €650 000 (10.7 million) a month and the latter pocketing €600 000 (R985 000).

To put Neymar's whopping salary into South African context, the 28-year-old earns R1.65 million per day, which equates to R70 000 per hour and R1 165 per minute.
