Mario Gomez, who now plays his football for Besiktas in Turkey, believes that, although the two La Liga stars earn more than he does, they do not have the freedom to live like he does.
"I would not swap my career with the likes of Messi, (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo or Neymar," he told Playboy.
"It's true that they are famous, earn an incredible amount of money and have millions of people wanting to be like them.
"However, I would prefer to be Mario of Besiktas, because I can go and eat out without being disturbed.
"I can go on holiday. I can live my life."
