So far, FC Barcelona have been quiet after Neymar dropped the bombshell that he wants to return to the Catalan giants, but a club representative has now commented on the situation.

Vice-president Jordi Cardoner basically confirmed that Neymar is keen to return to Camp Nou, however, he also insisted the club have not looked into bringing him back yet
"As far as I know, Barcelona have not made any steps towards signing him, nor do [we] want to sign him," he said, as quoted by ESPN.
"The board has not looked into it, but there's a desire from the player [to return]. It seems Neymar wants to come back, or at least that's what he's expressed, but it's not something on the table. It's not true that Barca are worrying about signing Neymar.
"It's an operation we'd need to address, we don't know what will happen. It doesn't surprise me that a player that's left wants to come back.
"There aren't many places like Barca and Barcelona. There are others that left and came back, like Cesc [Fabregas]. Neymar's a great player. At the time, though, he decided to leave. Now? We can't assess it at this stage but we haven't made contact with him."

Cardoner also added that Neymar's potential return might be difficult given the manner how left the club, literally forcing his world record €222 million (R3.6 billion) transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, which has club and player still stuck in a legal battle over outstanding payments
"There are a lot of things about his exit which I didn't like, there are a lot of things to solve," the Blaugrana vice-president added.
Neymar said last week that "wants to return home" and should have never left, while Sport claimed this week that he has a verbal agreement with the Catalan giants.
