The 31-year-old missed out on a chance to win his second title of the season when FC Barcelona lost 2-1 to Valencia in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday.
After the Blaugrana were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by Liverpool, and despite being just a few games away from winning a potential double, they had to make due with just the LaLiga title this campaign.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, ended his debut Serie A campaign with two trophies – he scored the only goal against AC Milan in the final of the Supercoppa Italiana, while also helping Juventus to an eighth successive Serie A title.
Overall, though, Messi stays ahead of Ronaldo in their internal trophy ranking with 34 pieces of silverware compared to Ronaldo's 30 titles.
On a personal level, the Portuguese struck 28 times and assisted another 13 goals for his teammates in 2018/19, while Messi netted 51 goals and set up 22 more strikes across all competitions for the Blaugrana.

The two superstars can still add more silverware to their trophy cabinets, though, as both will be taking part in continental tournaments with their national teams during the off-season.
Ronaldo's Portugal are one of the four semi-finalists of the inaugural UEFA Nations League, while Messi and Argentina will contest this year's Copa America.
