Cristiano Ronaldo has become only the second player in Europe's top five leagues to score more than 25 goals in a single campaign for the tenth 10 time since 2007/08, equalling a record set by Lionel Messi.

The 35-year-old scored Juventus' second goal against AC Milan before his side conceded four goals to end up losing 4-2.
It was not all bad news for Ronaldo, though, as his strike took his Serie A goals tally to 26 in the 2019/20 campaign.
In doing so, he became only the second player in Europe's top five leagues to score more than 25 league goals in a single campaign 10 times since 2007/08, as Opta Sports pointed out.

Messi, who scored more than 25 goals in every campaign since 2009/10, could still achieve the milestone in 2019/20 as well, which would mark the 11th season he reaches the impressive mark.

Ronaldo still has seven games to add to his goals tally this season, while Messi has only four more LaLiga matches left to play.
