The Portuguese star was under great pressure in recent weekends, prior to this weekend's performance against Granada, where he scored a career-best of five goals in one game, and things have taken a turn for the better following his ruthless display.

The former Manchester United player is now averaging a league goal every 64 minutes, which is a statistic better than most teams in La Liga, let alone players.

The only teams who have a better record than Cristiano Ronaldo's goal average are the top-six sides on the La Liga standings currently, including Los Blancos.

For example, Malaga, who are seventh in La Liga, have only managed a goal every 81 minutes this season - which is 17 more minutes than it takes for the 30-year-old to score a league goal.

Ronaldo's 36 La Liga goals mean that the forward has already gone past three of his overall goal tallies in league campaigns in previous seasons, and is just 10 goals short of his best, 46.

Prior to this weekend's performance, the superstar only had scored five league goals in his last 10 league games, but he doubled that tally after some ruthless finishing against Granada on Sunday.

Ronaldo has scored 47 goals from 41 games this season in all competitions, while he's assisted a further 21 times.
