Guinea-born starlet Ilaix Moriba made his LaLiga debut for FC Barcelona on the weekend, and later spoke about running out next to his idol Lionel Messi.
The 18-year-old midfielder featured for 64 minutes in Barca's 5-1 thrashing of Deportivo Alaves, and provided the assist for his side's opener by Francisco Trincao.
Moriba was born in Conakry, Guinea, but moved to Europe at a young age before joining Barca's La Masia in 2010, when he was just seven years old.
He made his senior debut for Barca in their recent Copa del Rey tie against Cornella, and made his long-expected first LaLiga appearance on Saturday.
"I was picking up my head and seeing Leo and Griezmann – it was all a dream. It was all brilliant," Moriba said, as per Marca.
"(Messi) is lots of players' idol. Everyone that knows something about football knows that he's the best in the world and I'm thankful for the passes he gave me.
"I'll remember everything. I'll never forget anything.
"All I need now is to be able to play in front of the fans, with them here cheering us on."
It was not all sunshine and roses for the youngster, though, with Moriba giving away the ball before Alaves scored their solitary goal.
"I'm always thinking about the last thing and I have that mistake in my head," he added.
"But I had a good game, I'm happy to have helped with the assist (for Trincao) and I'm very happy."
