Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho wanted Erik ten Hag sacked, according to a former Red Devils star.
The pair had a falling out last season after after Ten Hag criticised Sancho's work ethic in training after the defeat to Arsenal in September last year.
Sancho responded with a statement on social rubbishing Ten Hag's remarks and was exiled from the first team for the rest of the season.

The English winger did have a mini-revival in a six-month loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, but he is now back with the United team preparing for the new season.
"Jadon Sancho took a really risky move in many ways but almost an unavoidable one in going back to where he was to try to reignite that spark, and he's done particularly well,' Owen told Prime Casino.
"I'm sure he probably would have preferred there to have been a change of manager at Old Trafford so it was a clean slate and he could come back and hopefully start again.
"I don't know what his future holds, but he's certainly gone away and proven that he can still cut it at the top level."
Ahead of Saturday's Community Shield against Manchester City, Ten Hag is hoping to use Sancho's versatility this season.
"Jadon [Sancho] can play across the whole frontline, he's an option for more than one position and it depends how you set up the team, you can look at your own tactics, opponents that fit the best and Jadon had some abilities you can use in a game, tactics and the next game," he said, as per Manchester Evening News.
