Man Utd Linked With €100m-Rated African Striker

Victor Osimhen

Manchester United have been linked with a move for one of the most promising African talents in Europe, although it is reported that his club would only sell him for €100 million (R1.8 billion).

Ronaldo Bound To Join Serie A Giants?

With Cristiano Ronaldo's future at the Red Devils seemingly uncertain, United are tipped to make a push to sign Napoli and Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen.

The 23-year-old is a highly-rated striker who has impressed since joining the Italian club in 2020, having scored 33 goals in 71 appearances across all competitions following successful spells in Belgium and France.

This past weekend, Osimhen returned to Napoli's starting line-up for the first time since coming back from injury, scoring the winner as his side beat Jose Mourinho's Roma away from home in Serie A.

According to Tuttosport, however, it would take a nine-figure sum of money for Napoli to consider selling the player, who has been linked with a host of top clubs in recent seasons.

The report suggests the Serie A league leaders could be open to doing a deal with the Red Devils considering Ronaldo's current situation, with Napoli among the sides credited with an interest in the 37-year-old.

It is claimed that Erik ten Hag will push to sign a new centre-forward should Ronaldo depart in the January transfer window, although it appears unlikely the club would splash €100 million to find a replacement at this time.

'Ronaldo's Oversized Ego Pollutes Everyone So Much'

Club chiefs have urged supporters to limit their expectations for future windows after the 20-time English champions became one of the biggest spenders ahead of the 2022/23 season.
