Man Utd Transfer News: 7 Out, 6 Stars In?

Big squad changes are expected at Manchester United.

With pre-season for Manchester United having started, here are five players who could leave the club before the new campaign gets underway and four stars the Red Devils could sign.

According to reports, the Red Devils' hierarchy are working hard behind the scenes to ensure Erik ten Hag's squad is strengthened heading into the new season.

Monday marked the beginning of United's preparations for the 2024/25 campaign, excluding the stars still on international duty such as Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and Alejandro Garnacho.

In terms of the club's recruitment plans, the 20-time English champions have reportedly identified Netherlands internationals Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt as targets.

Both the Bayern Munich centre-back and Bologna striker are believed to be in advanced talks with United, with the former determined to reunite with Ten Hag.

Meanwhile, the club are in discussions to sign Lille defender Leny Yoro, who is also on Real Madrid's shortlist. Rumours suggest United have had a bid accepted for the 18-year-old.

It is still, however, believed that the centre-back would prefer a switch to Los Blancos.

United continue pursuing a move for Everton's promising left-footed centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, though have not yet tabled a proposal the Toffees deem acceptable.

When it comes to midfield options, the English champions are said to have expressed interest in Paris Saint-Germain and Uruguay's Manuel Ugarte.

As far as potential outgoings go for last season's FA Cup winners, Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek are all expected to depart in this transfer window.

The same can be said for experienced Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League. Furthermore, questions remain over the futures of Hannibal, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Christian Eriksen.
