Man Utd 'Keen' To Sign Another African Star

Manchester United are reportedly keen to sign a African star.

After being linked with the likes of Omar Marmoush and Victor Boniface earlier this week, it has reportedly been revealed that Manchester United are interested in signing yet another African.

With the appointment of Ruben Amorim and his insistence on utilising a 3-4-3 formation, the Red Devils could be very active in upcoming transfer windows.

One position that is believed to be of particular concern to the Portuguese tactician is that of left-wing back.

Given the injuries that have plagued Luke Shaw throughout his career, and his likely conversion into a left-sided central defender in a back three, it seems the Lisbon native is looking to recruit somebody who can fulfil wing-back duties.

According to The Sun, a name high on Amorim's list is that of Rayan Ait-Nouri.

The Algerian international's contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers expires at the end of next season, and the same report states that the 23-year-old is eager to leave Molineux Stadium.

It is said that Ait-Nouri ticks all the boxes the United boss is looking for in a wing-back and matches the style of football he wants to implement.

It is understood, however, that the Mancunians are not the only Premier League side keen on signing the 13-time Algeria international, as Liverpool are also believed to be interested in his services.

Wolves will likely not be eager to lose one of their star players and are expected to offer him an extension. However, the chiefs at Carrington will likely look to empower their new manager with the signings he desires.
