The 22-year-old has said his goodbyes to Getafe following his single-season loan spell in LALIGA, in which he finished the campaign with 16 goal contributions across all competitions.
Greenwood is expected to return to the Red Devils, but, with his deal in England currently set to expire in 2025, it is believed United will look to sell him permanently in the coming transfer window.
Multiple clubs across Europe, including Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, have been credited with an interest in the one-time England international.
However, following in-house discussions over a potential pursuit of the striker, Dortmund have reportedly ruled themselves out of a move for the player.
Bundesliga commentator Kevin Hatchard has said the UEFA Champions League finalists will not look the land the forward's signature amid conflicting reports.
Greenwood returned to football in 2023 after the serious charges he faced were dropped following his initial arrest in January 2022.
