After claiming back-to-back wins over Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City in the Premier League, Manchester United had to settle for a point against struggling Everton at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer named the exact same side that defeated Manchester City last weekend, while Bernard and Seamus Coleman returned for the visitors.
The Red Devils took control from the onset and managed to carve out a couple openings, with Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford going close in the opening 15 minutes.
The visitors were dealt a blow afteer the 20-minute mark when full-back Lucas Digne's groin injury flared up once again and he was replaced by Leighton Bains.
Despite's United's dominance, it was Everton who gifted the opening goal on 36 minutes when Baines' corner deflected in off United's Victor Lindelof.
The goal seemed stun the home side, who struggled to carve out any clear openings until the the hour mark when Luke Shaw forced Jordan Pickford into a fine save with an effort from distance.
Solskjaer threw on Mason Greenwood for Lingard in the 64th minute and the decision certainly paid off as the 18-year-old levelled matters on 77 minutes with a neat finish from the edge of the box.
Howver, the Red Devils were unable to find away past the Everton defence again and had to settle for a point, which sees move four points behind fourth-place Chelsea in sixth.
