Marseille president Pablo Longoria has spoken highly of Paul Pogba and addressed the growing rumours linking the French midfielder with a move to the club.

Pogba, who is aiming to make his return to football in 2025 after having his doping ban reduced, is now searching for a new club after his contract with Juventus was terminated.
Marseille, along with several other clubs, has been mentioned as a possible destination for the 2028 FIFA World Cup winner, who will be available to play again in March 2025.
Longoria has now responded to the ongoing speculation surrounding the former Manchester United star's future.
"Everyone talks to me about Paul Pogba! Paul is an exceptional player, an extraordinary person, I knew him at Juventus," he told reporters, according to Goal.
"I was the first to be pleased when I saw his sanction reduced. Medhi Benatia also shares a strong bond with him. Yes, we sent him messages because we were happy for him.
"When I was at Juve, he was a superstar, finishing third in the Ballon d'Or, and my friends often asked me about him, and he was always supportive. There are no advanced talks. We will have an internal meeting this week to set our objectives for the transfer window."
"Regarding Paul, we need to evaluate the situation. As a club, we are always open to seizing opportunities and welcoming top players, like we did with Adrien (Rabiot) or Hojbjerg. But there are no discussions with Pogba, no meetings.
"I'm not ruling anything out, but much of this is speculation. These are more like dreams than concrete moves in the transfer market."
