Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly at risk of being expelled from this season's UEFA Champions League because of recently departed star Kylian Mbappe's unpaid wages.

At the beginning of July, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner officially cut ties with Les Parisiens after his deal at the Parc des Princes expired.
He is now Real Madrid's newest superstar acquisition, but despite making the move from the French capital to Spain, he seemingly still has unfinished business with his former employers.
The Frenchman is alleged to be still owed €55 million (R1 billion) by PSG, made up of the final payment of a €36 million (R710 million) signing bonus, the last three months of his salary, and an ethics bonus for the period of April to June 2024.
Los Blancos' newest striker has, through his legal representatives, referred the matter to the legal committee of the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) and, through an intermediary of the French Football Federation, to European football's governing body UEFA.
Involving these institutions could have negative ramifications for the record Ligue 1 champions as far as their participation on continental tournaments is concerned.
If PSG are found guilty, UEFA could cancel their club licence in continental competition, meaning they would be prohibited from taking part in any European competition until all parties reach an amicable solution.

On the domestic front, it is understood that the LFP legal committee has the power to issue transfer bans too.
