After a drama-filled off-season, there now seems to be a sense of calm around the 24-year-old Frenchman.
Last week, Les Parisiens announced the attacker's return to the club's first-team fold, and now it seems that they are well on their way to fully mending their relationship, with recent reports claiming that the two parties have begun negotiations over a new deal.
According to Diario AS, PSG are optimistic they can once again tempt the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner to stay following a recent meeting in Paris, but still remain wary of any last-ditch offers from clubs trying to sign him.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Real Madrid could be set to make a late bid in order to pressure Les Rouge et Bleu into selling Mbappe in this window, but now, according to the abovementioned Spanish publication, it will take a €250 million (R5.1 billion) bid in order for PSG to let the Bondy native leave the Parc des Princes.

The same report suggests that the chiefs in the French capital are now optimistic of their efforts to keep Mbappe at the club as they feel they have the entirety of the 2023/24 campaign to negotiate with the player and his representatives over a new deal.
