Mario Balotelli has been in fine form this season, and it has now been revealed that the Liverpool flop is one of the highest paid players in Ligue 1.

The 26-year-old netted a brace on Sunday to help Nice extend their lead at the top of the French top flight to four points over second-placed Monaco and seven points over last year's champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Overall, the Italian has now scored eight league goals, and his team has won every game in which the Italian, who has also missed eight matches due to injury, found the back of the net.
Balotelli is one of only three non-PSG players among Ligue 1's top earners, and sits with a monthly gross salary (before deductions) of €450 000 (R6.6 million) in ninth position, according to L'Equipe.
Former Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis is just below him in 10th place, with €420 000 (R6.1 million), while former Manchester United and Chelsea forward Falcao is the seventh best earner, with €600 000 (R8.8 million) a month.
Marco Verratti sits in eighth position with a monthly income of €500 000 (R7.3 million), while the top six are all players from PSG.

Under-fire PSG coach Unai Emery is the league's top earning boss with €420 000, more than double the monthly salary of second-placed Lucien Favre (€200 000), who has guided Nice to a surprise lead in the league.
