Bafana Bafana's Lebogang Phiri played the entire game as his Guingamp eliminated Paris Saint-Germain in the French League Cup on Wednesday.
Phiri was restored to the Guingamp line-up against a PSG side filled with the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel di Maria.
The first half, however, proved to be a quiet affair despite PSG's domination, as the hosts struggled to mount any serious openings at Karl-Johan Johnsson's goal.
Guingamp were then awarded a penalty on 61 minutes. Marcus Thuram, the son of legendary defender Lillian, stepped up but failed to convert the spot-kick.
The deadlock was eventually broken just moments later, with Neymar nodding home a cross fro Thomas Muenier.
Guingamp were awarded another lifeline after being awarded a second penalty, which Yeni Ngbakoto converted to restore parity.
The visitors were not done there as they were awarded a third penalty in the second minute of time added on.
Thuram took responsibility once again, but this time he made no mistake to covert and send Guingamp to the next round.
