Argentina winger Angel Di Maria has revealed why he decided to leave Manchester United after only one season.
Di Maria Becomes Most Expensive Player In History
The 27-year-old, who completed his move to Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday, was the Premier League's most expensive signing last summer.
Di Maria insisted the move wasn't only up to him, and that he is happy the transfer has been completed.
"Leaving United was not only my decision," Di Maria told members of the media, as quoted by ESPN.
"I'm here because they wanted to sell me, it was a collective decision. The three parties agreed. I, Manchester United and PSG agreed the deal.
"Things didn't quite work out at Manchester United for various reasons, but that's in the past. Now it's the present.
"I'm happy because I know my wife and child will be happy in Paris."
The Argentine struggled to adapt to life in England – that his house in Chesire was the subject of an attempted burglary in January didn't help – and his form on the pitch suffered as a result.
