Here are the highest-paid players at each LaLiga club, with Lionel Messi earning more than twice as much as Real Madrid's top earner. The list also includes a former Manchester United starlet who did not make the cut at Old Trafford.

Messi remains the league's highest-paid player after signing his latest contract extension in November 2017. He is believed to earn a massive €70.76 million (R1.1 billion) before tax each year, according to capology.com.
The FC Barcelona superstar is followed by new Los Blancos signing Eden Hazard, who put pen to paper on a contract worth €31.25 million (R508 million) a season when he joined the LaLiga giants.

Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak completes the top three, pocketing €20.83 million (R338 million) annually with the Rojiblancos, while Real Betis' Nabil Fekir and Athletic Bilbao's Inigo Martinez follow with yearly slaries of €14.58 million (R236 million) and €8.97 million, respectively.
Adnan Januzaj, who left United in 2017, sits in the middle of the pile, earning €4.44 million (R71 million) a season at Real Sociedad, while Granada's Yangel Herrera, who reportedly receives just €579 000 (R9.4 million) a year, is at the bottom of the ranking of the top earners per LaLiga club.
