On the weekend, it was announced that the 33-year-old has committed to a three-year contract at the Blaugrana after he pushed to leave Bayern Munich to join Xavi Hernandez's project in Spain.

According to reports, the former Bundesliga talisman will earn €18.75 million (R324 million) a year at the club before tax deductions, which equates to a weekly wage of €360 577 (R6.2 million).
Lewandowski will officially sign his deal after he undergoes medical tests, which is likely to happen during the pre-season tour of the United States with Barca, and will then become the squad's third-highest-paid star.
However, several of the squad members among the highest-earning Barcelona players appear unlikely to still be at the club before the transfer window slams shut at the end of August, with Frenkie de Jong, Miralem Pjanic and Memphis Depay all linked with departures.
Should they leave Barca in the coming weeks, the likes of Fati and Dembele would jump a few places in the standing, as will new signings Franck Kessie, Raphinha and Andreas Christensen.

Dembele, meanwhile, was previously one of the highest-paid in the list before his contract expired in June, with his new wage of €264 423 (R4.5 million) seeing him now come in at seventh.
