According to Marca, Real president Florentino Perez informed the club's members at a general assembly that a new deal with adidas is about to be signed.
It would guarantee an income of €1.1 billion over 10 years, which means Los Blancos would receive a whopping €110 million (R1.8 billion) a season, which is more than double the €52 million (R851 million) they are currently getting.
In addition, that figure could rise to €150 million (R2.45 billion) a season, based on another variable depending on merchandising.
The guaranteed €110 million (R1.8 billion) a season agreement would overtake United's deal with adidas, which is worth €85 million (R1.4 billion) per annum – currently the German company's largest.
However, it would not be the most expensive kit deal in football, with FC Barcelona understood to receive €160 million (R2.6 billion) a year from Nike, according to The Guardian.
