Real Madrid defender Marcelo has spoken about helping wonderkid Vinicius Junior settle into life with the LaLiga giants, saying the Brazilian teenager is a "spectacular kid".

The 18-year-old has been a breath of fresh air in an underwhelming season that has seen Los Blancos being eliminated from the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League much earlier than they have in recent years.
The teenager scored three goals and registered 12 assists in 28 games across all competitions for Real this season before his progress was curtailed when he sustained an injury in his side's 4-1 defeat to Ajax Amsterdam last week.
In discussing Vinicius' breakthrough campaign at Real recently, Marcelo spoke about his role as a mentor for his countryman.

"I've been a captain for six years, it's a source of great pride for me," he told Mahou.
"We have to always carry the name of Real Madrid to the top. I like that pressure a lot.
"Vinicius has played for one year in Brazil at the age of 16, but he's a bit more mature when he got here than I was. I help him whenever I can, he's a spectacular kid, he listens to everything and wants to learn everything.
"He's learning Spanish because he wants to be able to communicate well, I like seeing this because if you help a person who doesn't want to be helped, it's a waste of time, but he's different.
"Every player that arrives is welcomed by all the players, there's a lot of unity in the dressing room. We've created a family, and since I arrived, I've been taught to respect others.
"We've seen many people come and go, but there is always a sense of unity and a positive energy, you feel the surprise of others when they realise they are representing Real Madrid. Signing for this club isn't the limit, you then have to give everything for the badge."
