The 22-year-old has scored one goal and assisted another in the five matches he has featured in en route to facing England in the final at the Olympiastadion Berlin on Sunday.
His performances for Luis de la Fuente's charges, coupled with the eight goals and 19 strikes he assisted for Athletic Club in all competitions during the 2023/24 season, have led to many of Europe's elite sides looking at him as a possible acquisition.
The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been touted as potential destinations for the Pamplona native, but according to Mundo Deportivo, it is Barcelona who are in pole position to successfully sign the player.
The Spanish news outlet claims that after the EURO final, the Blaugrana plan to trigger the attacker's release clause of €58 million.
While the Catalan club is still navigating their seemingly precarious financial situation, earlier this week Barca president Joan Laporta insisted that they have the capacity to sign Williams.

The left-wing position is one the LALIGA side have been looking to reinforce, and while the likes of Luis Diaz have been mooted as possible targets, the same report claims that new manager Hansi Flick, Barca executives and prominent players in the first team have all been lobbying for the signing of Williams instead.
