The midfielder played his last game for the Catalan giants on Sunday night, their 1-0 win over Real Sociedad, following 22 years at the club.

While the actual match was a superb one, fans at the Camp Nou were there to enjoy the 34-year-old one last time. The crowd sang his name from the first moment until the last, and got on their feet to applaud him as he left the field with eight minutes remaining.

Iniesta and his teammates were handed the league trophy to celebrate in front of their home crowd following the clash, but those festivities were unsurprisingly eclipsed by their captain's farewell.

The Spaniard was handed a microphone to speak to the roughly 90 000 people in the stadium, a speech that had himself, his colleagues and many supporters bawling their eyes out.

Iniesta, who represented Barca 675 times, has left the club having won 22 trophies, including nine league titles and four UEFA Champions Leagues.
