'Everyone Knows My Dream Is To Coach FC Barcelona'

'Everyone Knows My Dream Is To Coach FC Barcelona'

Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman has admitted it is his dream to manage FC Barcelona one day, despite rejecting the club's offer to do just that earlier this year.

Koeman has managed to rebuild the Dutch national side in the past couple of years after they failed to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

After Ernesto Valverde was sacked by the Blaugrana in January, Koeman was reportedly a target for the Catalan giants but already had a job with the Oranje.

Barcelona ended up appointing Quique Setien for the position, but Koeman still has hopes of taking charge at the Camp Nou one day.

"I have the possibility to leave after the tournament, but now is not the time to think about that.

"Everyone knows it's my dream to manage Barcelona, and I hope to have another chance in future."

Koeman has previously worked in the Spanish top flight after serving as Barcelona's assistant coach between 1998 to 2000, and also spent the 2007/08 season as Valencia's head coach.
