Barcelona have reportedly made Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah a transfer promise.
With his contract at Anfield expiring at the end of the 2022/23 campaign, the Catalan club has reportedly identified the Egypt international as a key transfer target.
Salah is said to be in talks with the Reds over a new deal, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, headway is yet to be made as the Premier League side is struggling to match his demands.
According to the Metro, Barcelona are monitoring his situation closely, and have made Salah a guarantee he will be key to their new project if he holds out on committing his future to Liverpool.
English media outlets have suggested the 29-year-old is looking to be paid in line with some of the world's leading footballers, with his current salary not among the top 10 in the Premier League.
Salah, who has scored 156 goals in 254 matches for the Merseyside club since his arrival in 2017, finished this season as the Reds' top scorer with 31 strikes.
The winger has previously stated he would be open to a move to LaLiga, with Real Madrid having also been linked with his signature in the past.
