The German tactician has been out of football management since November 2024. The 54-year-old was let go by Al-Wehda in the Saudi Pro League after managing to win only three of the 13 matches he took charge of.
Since his departure from the oil-rich kingdom, however, the Schwandorf native has been linked with a plethora of jobs within the CAF region.
His reputation on the continent has likely been bolstered by the fact that he completed the 2023/24 campaign without suffering a single defeat as Raja Club Athletic boss, winning both the Botola Pro Inwi and the Moroccan Throne Cup.
After leaving the Knights of Mecca earlier in the campaign, the likes of Raja, Zamalek, MAS Fes, and AS FAR Rabat have all been linked with Zinnbauer, but it seems he is poised for a move to Algerian giants JS Kabylie.
The Canaries have been without a manager since the sudden departure of Abdelhak Benchikha, and according to Competition, the chiefs of the club appreciate the former Pirates boss' qualities and believe he can lead them to their first championship in 17 years.
