Colombian striker Radamel Falcao was the most recent footballer to make the move from Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford. The move did not involve the two club's exchanging money with each other, as the player was loaned to them by Monaco in the 2014-2015 (Manchester United) and 2015- 2016 (Chelsea) seasons.
Spain international Juan Mata made the move from the Blues to the Red Devils back in 2014 for a then record fee of £37.1 million (R650 million). The 29-year-old made the move to Old Trafford after falling out of favour at the London club.
One would have to go back 11 years to the previous occasion these teams did business with each other, and that was when Juan Sebastian Veron made the move from Manchester to London in 2003.
In 2001, Australian goalkeeper Mark Bosnich made the switch from Old Trafford to Stamford Bridge. The shot-stopper won the Premier League in his first season with the Red Devils, but after the arrival of Fabian Barthez, he opted to leave the club and was sold to Chelsea.

Mark Hughes and Ray Wilkins are two more players, according to Omnisport, who ended up making the switch in their playing careers – the Welshman made the move to the Blues back in 1995, while Wilkins joined United in 1979 after Chelsea were relegated from the First Division.
