Iniesta was previously linked with a move to Inter Miami, where he would reunite with Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
The World Cup winner only made six appearances for Kobe last season, which was one of the reasons he decided to leave.
"There was difficulty in not being picked to play after putting my heart into training," Iniesta said last month, as per ESPN.
"I've experienced a lot of things over these five years, which is a long time."
