Despite Messi being on holiday, he is said to be concerned with the club's transfer business so far, with Gerard Deulofeu the only new signing ahead of next season.
According to Don Balon, the 30-year-old hopes the club will sell Munir El Haddadi, Thomas Vermaelen, Arda Turan and Andre Gomes before the new campaign gets underway.
The Argentina captain reportedly feels Barca can improve in terms of their squad, with the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Marco Verratti being heavily linked with the Catalan giants.
Next season will be the Blaugrana's first under new manager Ernesto Valverde, and fans will be hoping the former Athletic Bilbao boss will get the club back to winning ways.
