With speculation surrounding 24-year-old De Gea's future at Manchester United, the goalkeeper's agent says his player will not move to Real Madrid, and that he's only interested in staying with the Red Devils.
"It is not true that De Gea has found a deal with Real Madrid," he said, according to ESPN.
"I am negotiating with Manchester United about De Gea's renewal."
Mendes also spoke about his client's happiness, saying that he's more than likely to stay with the 20-time league champions.
"He has one-year left on his contract and I think that he will stay in Manchester," he added.
"The player will decide, but he's happy there, at the moment."
De Gea, who was voted Manchester United's Player of the Year last season, signed for the club in 2011 and has played 118 league games as number one.
Mendes is also the agent of Colombian forward Radamel Falcao, whose future at the club remains uncertain after a string of below-par performances.
