The expanded FIFA Club World Cup will allow teams from across the globe to test their skills against opponents they never thought possible.
Sundowns booked their spot at the new showpiece event through their four-year CAF ranking.
Masandawana will face Brazilian giants Fluminense, Korea's Ulsan HD, and European powerhouses Borussia Dortmund in the group stage and Williams will be key to Sundowns' chances of qualification to the knockout phase.
FIFA's official website has now spotlighted the South African goalkeeper's performances.
"Ronwen Williams has astonishingly kept 38 clean sheets in his last 60 appearances for Mamelodi Sundowns FC in the South African Premiership and CAF Champions League," FIFA said on its website.
"The Bafana Bafana captain helped Mamelodi win the PSL last season having conceded just 10 goals in 30 games. Williams also leaked just three goals in 11 outings in the continental competition," it added.
FIFA praised Sundowns' impressive league form this season as the team looks to secure an eighth successive Betway Premiership title.
"Mamelodi have pocketed 61 points from a possible 72 in this season’s Premiership. With six games remaining, the Brazilians are in with a shot at breaking the record for points in a 30-round season. The Sundowns themselves set it in 2023/24, taking 73 from a possible 90," the website said.
