The Al Khalifa International was the first completed venue to host games of the 2022 FIFA World Cup after undergoing a revamping process.

The Education City stadium will also be a venue for the 2022 spectacle and its inauguration will take place during the Club World Cup in December. The newly-built arena will host the semi-finals, third-place play-off and final of the tournament.

European champions Liverpool will enter the Club World Cup at the semi-final stage, while CAFCL winners Esperance Sportive de Tunis will face the winners of the Asian Cup in the second round.

However, if the Tunisian giants would progress to the semi-final stage, they would meet the Copa Libertadores winners, who are yet to be confirmed.
