Flamengo progressed to the FIFA Club World Cup final after rallying from behind to defeat Al Hilal 3-1 on Tuesday night.

The South American champions were left stunned after 18 minutes when Salem Al Dawsari gifted the Saudi Arabian outfit the lead.

The Brazilians were back on level terms three minutes after the break thanks to Giorgian Arrascaeta's strike, before Bruno Henrique completed the turnaround in the 78th minute.

An own goal from Ali Albulayhi sealed the win for Flamengo, who will await the winner of the second semi-final between Liverpool and Monterrey.

Esperance secured fifth spot at the Club World Cup after thrashing Al Sadd 6-2 at the Khalifa International Stadium.

Hamdou Elhouni stole the show after netting a hat-trick to go along with a brace Anice Badri and a solitary strike for Sameh Derbali.

Baghdad Bounedjah was on target for Al Sadd with his third goal of the tournament, while Hassan Al Heidos also netted for Xavi's side.
